About

Zainab is a PhD candidate at the University of Innsbruck, Austria, where she conducts her doctoral research under the supervision of Prof. Andreas Bernkop-Schnürch. Her work focuses on optimizing hydrophilic drug entrapment into Self-Emulsifying Drug Delivery Systems (SEDDS) using mixed reverse micelles, with the aim of improving bioavailability and controlled drug release.

She previously completed her Master of Philosophy in Pharmaceutics at the University of Lahore, where she investigated the fabrication and evaluation of pH-responsive polymeric blends for controlled drug delivery. Her research interests include controlled release formulations, bioavailability enhancement, and the development of novel drug delivery strategies. She is deeply committed to advancing pharmaceutical research that translates laboratory innovation into real-world clinical application.
